Everyone from Microsoft® to Mom-and-Pop.com needs marketing
Marketing is critical to any business looking to support sales and generate revenue. But the business that does it right--that is, the business that targets a market, devises a plan and implements the plan in a creative way is the one that will dominate the market, and leave the competition behind..
Ask yourself these questions…
- Are my target markets clearly defined?
- What is my unique selling proposition? Why would someone choose my product or service over the competition?
- Am I selling the benefits or the features of my product? Can someone look at my web site or sales collateral and learn how my product will benefit them (i.e., raise profits, lower costs or avoid problems for themselves) not just what my product does?
- Am I reaching the decision makers with my marketing efforts?
- Am I delivering a powerful message on a regular basis through advertising, direct mail, and/or public relations campaigns? Am I delivering it often enough to have an impact?
- Am I measuring the results of my marketing and PR campaigns and refining subsequent campaigns to ensure effectiveness?
